About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Event Manager with a strong background in client services management and a proven track record of executing large-scale events. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in event management and must have successfully managed projects exceeding R15 million. This role requires excellent project management skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver exceptional experiences for high-profile international clients in the finance, insurance, fintech, tech, and mining industries.

Key Responsibilities:

·       End-to-End Event Management: Plan, execute, and oversee high-profile events from conception to completion, ensuring world-class execution.

·       Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for blue-chip clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and fostering long-term strategic partnerships.

·       Budget Management: Develop, track, and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

·       Project Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including suppliers, vendors, and internal staff, to ensure seamless execution.

·       Risk & Compliance Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

·       Supplier & Vendor Negotiation: Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors to optimize costs and service quality.

·       Marketing & Communications Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop communications strategies for events.

·       On-Site Event Execution: Oversee on-the-ground event operations, ensuring all elements align with client expectations and agency standards.

·       Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations, reporting on performance, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.

Key Requirements:

·       Minimum of 8 years of experience in event management, client services, or project management within a high-value project environment.

·       Proven ability to manage event budgets of R15 million or more.

·       Strong understanding of event logistics, production, and supplier management.

·       Demonstrated experience managing relationships with blue-chip clients in finance, insurance, fintech, tech, and mining.

·       Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with experience handling high-profile clients and ensuring their strategic objectives are met.

·       Strong communication skills – written and verbal

·       Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

·       Strong financial acumen with expertise in budget control and ROI analysis.

·       Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·       Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Experience & Skills:

·       Experience in corporate, luxury, or large-scale public event management.

·       Knowledge of event management software and CRM tools.

·       Strong presentation and communication skills.

·       A network of industry contacts, including vendors, venues, and service providers.
